In short, yes. They become useless. I've 5 bars at my house, but can't make/get any phone calls/text because: the 5 bars are on another vendor's towers. They do have a roaming contract with Verizon because my buddy's Verizon telephone is in love with it here. But Tracfone won't allow the roaming so I have a well connected dud. Can only utilize it when I'm near to the local town where Verizon has towers.

I've never heard of issues with signal with the iphone before reading commentary here. I currently have an htc experience with t-mobile. I've had other android telephones as well. These are nice except they are glitchy. I'm probably going out of t-mobile for at&t to get the ip4s. My fascination to the i phone and apple generally is that their products run smoothly and don't ter um olhar para esses caras decelerate like glass windows and google products. Apple is just designed better and with an increase of care.
Is it a perfect telephone? Of course not. It's not waterproof to begin with, and does not have any stereo speakers. It doesn't support expandable storage area with a micro SD card, though it probably doesn't need it, because you get free, infinite full-resolution image and video back-up to Google Photos. That is clearly a serious value-add.
